Private-sector lending increased 2.5% in June compared with the year-earlier period, after rising 2.7% in May, ECB data showed.
The annual growth of the broad monetary aggregate known as M3 slowed to 2.1% in June versus May's 2.5%. Experts had expected a growth rate of 2.3%. The three-month moving average from April to June was 2.2%, unchanged from the previous period and in line with the median expert forecast.
